History

Bath Fringe Festival 2009
BATH FRINGE 2009

Friday May 22 - Sunday June 7
(or maybe even a bit longer!)

OK, the festival is over for this year. Next year's dates are Friday May 22 - Sunday June 7
But we've kept the 2008 site up so you can see what we do...
Like what you see? Don't like? Like something more?? Get onto our corner of the social networking scene (see Stop Press, right) and tell us (and your mates) all about it!

If you want to know more about the Fringe's Visual Art programme (already looking for artists) click through to their site here.

Elsewhere on this site you can find out more about being involved in the festival this year or next, or information if you're already doing something; find out more about everything from the history of the festival to getting around Bath; or sign onto our EMailing list for regular updates, including warnings about changed, cancelled or sold-out shows... That's useful!

Bath Fringe lives at admin@bathfringe.co.uk or 103 Walcot Street, Bath, Somerset, England, BA1 5BW.

Bath Fringe is a CoOperative and a Company Limited by Guarantee, registered in England and Wales: company number 2716515. Its registered office is 103 Walcot Street, Bath, Somerset, England, BA1 5BW.

Print programme available from May 1st 2008

Pick up a printed programme from May 1st.
Available from Bath Festival Box Office,
(01225 463362), Bath Central Library,
Tourist Information Office, Harvest and beyond...

Sunday 1 February 2009

STOP PRESS:

Fringe Open Meeting 2009
Monday February 2nd, 7.30pm, Chapel Arts

Meeting for people with shows they want to put on, good ideas looking for collaborators, or indeed anyone interested in volunteering to help out with Fringe 2009.

Chapel Arts is the building that used to be Windows, Invention, Central Club, etc. - if you’ve been in Bath a while, you’ll know the place, otherwise, try putting BA1 1QR into your favourite navigation aid (works OK on Multimap or Google Maps, I checked), and it’s the chapel-like building by the little green.

If you can’t come to that meeting and want to put on a show, or be involved in whatever capacity, be in touch on admin@bathfringe.co.uk. We’ll have the event submission process, venues list, helpful suggestions, and all the rest ready by that date, so you can get us to EMail you the info afterwards.

There will also be more Volunteer Meetings nearer the time, still plenty of opportunities to get involved if you can’t make this one.

Please note this is NOT the meeting for visual artists: if you want to know what FAB Fringe Visual Arts is doing (plenty) look at their website - click the link on the left - and contact them there.

Kilter - New Mystery Tour
We mentioned this in our last mailing, but didn't have any more details. Here's some now, straight from the source:
Why is February so little? Because March stole three days right out of her middle. But Kilter’s Little Month is very BIG in character as this theatrical February-themed treasure trail shows. Follow the clues any day of the month for activities and events all over Bath that will shake off moody old January’s blues.
Buy the beautiful stand-alone guide for £12 and the rest is a mystery for you to unfold across Bath throughout February...

The Theatre Royal contact details are
Click here, but there's not anything specific to the Kilter show yet.... But then they don't exactly fit in buildings...

Fringe goes all 21st Century
If you want to see some great pictures of Fringe 2008, look at our flickr page (compiled by moonson.co) - and the associated flickr Group.
We've moved the 2007 pics to photobucket because there wasn't enough room. The Group name there is also "bathfringe".
Clicking on this ought to get you there.
AND we've now got a youtube channel with Jasper's videos of past Fringes. It's at http://uk.youtube.com/user/bathfringe
- or just search 'bathfringe' in channels on youtube.
The ones which didn't fit (too long) can be found on google video through an ordinary search.

If you're on (or are accustomed to read) myspace, facebook, blogger, livejournal, or orkut, we're playing with the blogging & networking thing. Pop by and say hello...
Search 'bathfringe' on any one of those and you should find us...
